For the first annual fan of the week, I am honoring Andy Kiel for being a loyal follower to F&T. He has been there since the beginning, and he too has created a creative blog, on blogger, that can be reached my clicking on The Grateful Red on my blog list. He has shown myself and my page great respect, and I just want to honor him in the history of being the first ever fan of the week on First and Ten.

Casino Gets Robbed of 1.1 Million Euros.

So apparently last week in Berlin, 6 robbers high jacked the 1.1 million euro prize pool for a poker tournament on live TV (Thats Ballsy). Sucks to be the guy in first place...

Spring Fever

Spring is right around the corner. And in turn you get the NCAA Basketball Championship, MLB Spring Training/Opening Day, NBA Finals, and the NFL Draft. But maybe best of all you get the chance to get outside and hit a few golf balls. And here in Wisconsin if you are a golf enthusiast, you know exactly the wait and anticipation I am talking about. Sitting inside just prying for it to be spring, well its almost here.

Tiger Trouble

Reading all of the blogs for Shelly’s class brought me to the attention of the Tiger Woods story that I totally forgot about and it just got me thinking:

First off, let me say one thing get off Tiger Nuts… athletes have done way worse and they have been accepted back to society, the news has dropped the situation, or maybe you haven’t even heard of it. Sure cheating on your wife isn’t the best thing a multimillion dollar endorser/role model to the public could do, but neither is murder: OJ Simpson (and yes he was found guilty of wrong full death in a different trial) "Alleged" Rape: Kobe Bryant, DUI manslaughter: Dante Stalworth, Robbery/Kidnaping: OJ again, Rape/Road Rage/ Possession of narcotics and DUI: Mike Tyson… Need I go on there are plenty more. So all I am saying is he could have done way worse. He could have actually done something to harm society.

LT to the Pack?

Earlier Monday the Chargers released LT so they didn’t have to repay a 2 Mill $ roster bonus or something their loss is another team’s gain. I personally thing that LT has allot left in the tank. Some people think that he is an injury risk at the age of 30 but if you play in the NFL there is always an injury risk… Sure he missed 2 games off injury but if he didn’t miss those games last season add a few more TD to his stats, and he’s right back up there where he was in his prime. Maybe it’s just me, or maybe it’s the fact that there is a possibility of 21 coming to Green Bay (which would be awesome).

Oh, Say Can You See...

I think that Canada should think of changing their National Anthem, all they have been hearing is our National Anthem up there so far I mean we have 7 gold 7 Silver, and 10 Bronze so far. And can any one believe that the US beat our sisters to the north in Hockey?... Hockey?... yes that’s right Hockey I mean yeah both teams are exceptional, but the USA team defied the odds. They shot 23 times, and hit 5 times to the 3 of the Canadians. That means they had a better than 1 in 5 goal percentage, over the Canadians. One more reason to love the win over Canada is the sweet goalie mask that Ryan Miller sported, a ripped Uncle Sam on one side toting pretty much a flaming billy club, and a USA tattoo, and on the other side an Eagle that looks really pissed off.

Weakest slam dunk contest ever

Saturday night I was pumped for the NBA slam dunk contest. The last few years have had some pretty entreating dunks and theatrics, but this year on the other hand… I didn’t know that professional basketball players could play so weak. I mean I have seen almost all of the dunks in games. I was so disappointed I wish I would have just watched the Olympics.

Best Ad of the Super Bowl

Looking back on the Super Bowl, apart from Peyton choking in the 4th twice, I got a few laughs out of some of the commercials. One of my personal favorites the Doritos kid, gotta love it.
